About Infinis

Action Strategy

The Infinis action strategy stems from a clear commitment: to contribute to guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents in Brazil.

Our areas of practice

13 How do we operate?

Infinis’s operational strategy is rooted in a clear commitment: to help ensure the rights of children and adolescents in Brazil. This principle guides our choices, defines our priorities, and shapes how we engage with partners, communities, and causes. To this end, we focus our efforts on four priority areas—mental health, violence prevention, food and nutritional security, and the strengthening of civil society—which are interdependent issues requiring integrated, evidence-based responses.

We believe that the holistic development of children and adolescents depends on understanding the contexts in which they live. Ensuring mental health, for instance, is directly linked to living conditions, exposure to violence, and access to adequate nutrition. Similarly, preventing violence requires a strong civil society capable of influencing public policy and mobilizing protection networks. We therefore champion systemic solutions that complement one another and amplify impact.

Our Thematic Areas

  • Food Safety

We seek to drive change in addressing childhood malnutrition by strengthening initiatives that expand access to adequate, healthy, and sustainable nutrition from the earliest years of life.

  • Mental health

We work to strengthen public policies and initiatives that promote the emotional and psychosocial well-being of children and adolescents, expanding access to care across diverse regions of Brazil.

  • Violence Prevention

Violence against children and adolescents is a structural problem in Brazil. We work on prevention, the promotion of safe environments, and the strengthening of effective public policies.

  • Strengthening civil society

We invest in strengthening civil society organizations (CSOs) as a strategy for social transformation, promoting a culture of giving, supporting the philanthropic field, and contributing to the sector's development.

Network-based action

We operate primarily through a network-based approach. We connect civil society organizations, experts, public officials, researchers, communicators, and local initiatives, recognizing that integrating diverse forms of knowledge yields more effective and sustainable solutions. We act as a bridge, fostering dialogue, aligning agendas, and strengthening alliances to expand the reach of initiatives focused on children and adolescents.

Our approach to philanthropy

Our philanthropy model goes beyond simply transferring funds. We are committed to a strategic approach focused on long-term results. We closely monitor the initiatives we support, listen to local communities, and work collaboratively with partners to devise ways to tackle challenges. This involves strengthening institutional capacities, refining strategies, and encouraging the use of data and evidence in decision-making.

We aim to contribute to structural change by strengthening civil society organizations, helping them become more resilient, influential, and sustainable. Our focus is on enhancing impact, generating insights, and supporting the development of public policies that are more effective and responsive to local realities.

Advocacy

Advocacy strategies to ensure rights

We also consistently engage in advocacy, influencing public policy and fostering an institutional environment more favorable to civil society. Our work is guided by the defense and strengthening of the rights of children and adolescents; we seek to influence public agendas, improve the quality of decision-making, and ensure that their needs remain at the heart of policy.

We participate in networks and coalitions—such as the Alliance for Strengthening Civil Society—that work to improve legal frameworks, strengthen democracy, and advance fiscal conditions better suited to the third sector. Furthermore, we support the production and dissemination of knowledge, contributing to a more informed public debate and reinforcing evidence-based narratives that drive the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents.

Our commitment is to the present and the future: a childhood and adolescence that are safer and healthier, offering real opportunities for full development.

Our results

More than numbers, a commitment to transformation.

Infinis operates across all five regions of Brazil, supporting transformative social projects and promoting public policies designed to expand access to healthcare and rights for children and adolescents nationwide. It fosters cross-sector partnerships—engaging the public and private sectors as well as civil society organizations—to extend the reach and impact of its initiatives. Its social project work places special emphasis on the North and the semi-arid region of the Northeast.
