About the Award
Promoted by the José Luiz Setúbal Foundation and managed by Infinis, the initiative is part of the institutional strategy to expand and qualify the public debate on child and adolescent health, reinforcing the commitment to guaranteeing the right to healthy development.
The award recognizes the work of journalists, communicators, content producers, and university students from across the country who approach the theme with depth, scientific backing, creativity, and accessibility. The awards cover six categories: four aimed at professionals and two at students, accompanied by their advisors, with cash prizes for first and second place winners.
More than just recognizing good practices, the José Luiz Setúbal Award seeks to broaden society’s perception of the importance of child and adolescent health, mobilizing different audiences: from the press to public managers, as well as educators, families, and civil society. As highlighted by pediatrician Dr. José Luiz Setúbal, president of the Foundation that bears his name, ensuring access to safe and evidence-based information is essential to qualifying public debate, influencing public policies, and promoting behavioral changes.
With a qualified jury composed of specialists in the fields of health, childhood, and communication, the Award also incorporates a popular voting stage, expanding its democratic and participatory nature and strengthening the reach of the recognized topics.
By encouraging the production and dissemination of quality content, the initiative reaffirms its role as an agent of social transformation, contributing to a healthier childhood and adolescence in Brazil.
