The 6th José Luiz Setúbal Communication Award will offer a new opportunity for the recognition and dissemination of the winning works. Through a partnership with Nexo Políticas Públicas, the authors of the first-place productions in each category will be invited to write essays for the “Point of View” section of the portal. In total, six texts will be published between December 2026 and February 2027.
The initiative increases the visibility of the award-winning productions and creates a space for their authors to share experiences that go beyond the originally published content. The essays may explore the behind-the-scenes reporting, the challenges encountered, the lessons learned, and the impacts of the work, in addition to presenting new data on the topics addressed.
The partnership reinforces the commitment of the José Luiz Setúbal Foundation, Infinis, and Nexo Políticas Públicas to the production of high-quality content and the defense of rights. It also values the role of professionals and students in building an informed public debate on the health of children and adolescents in different contexts across the country.
“The partnership between the José Luiz Setúbal Communication Award and Nexo Políticas Públicas, through the publication of the winners’ essays, deepens our mission to expand the informed public debate on child and adolescent health based on experiences and lessons learned in different contexts of the country,” says Ana Beatriz Miraglia, editor of Nexo Políticas Públicas.
From the award ceremony to publication
The winning authors will be invited to produce the essays starting November 9, 2026, the date of the award ceremony, which will be held at Unibes Cultural in São Paulo. Each text must address the experience recognized by the Award and its contributions to the promotion of child and adolescent health.
The essays must be between 5,000 and 6,000 characters with spaces and follow the editorial standards of the “Ponto de Vista” section. The deadline for submission is up to 15 calendar days after the awards ceremony, via the email comunicacao@infinis.org.br.
Publication will follow the Nexo Políticas Públicas editorial schedule, with two texts per month in December 2026, January, and February 2027. The content will undergo adaptation to the portal’s language guidelines, formatting, and proofreading, while preserving the content and authorship.
Communication that contributes to the guarantee of rights
An initiative of the José Luiz Setúbal Foundation, managed by Infinis – Instituto Futuro é Infância Saudável, the Award recognizes the work of professionals and students who contribute to elevating the debate on the health and rights of children and adolescents.
By creating a new space for the circulation of award-winning experiences, the partnership with Nexo Políticas Públicas strengthens this purpose and brings the lessons learned from communication production closer to discussions on public policies for childhood and adolescence.
