Infinis – Healthy Childhood Future Institute, a philanthropy and advocacy organization of the José Luiz Setúbal Foundation, promoted a debate on child food security on April 29, 2026 (Wednesday), in Brasília (DF), with the presence of leaders from civil society, the legislature, and the Federal Government. The event marked the launch of the special edition of the Stanford Social Innovation Review Brazil (SSIR Brazil) on the subject.
The panel “What needs to be guaranteed in the next four years so that Brazil does not suffer setbacks in child food security” guided a discussion on where the bottlenecks in food security are, which policies are priorities, and what the role of civil society is for Brazil to advance in this agenda. The guests for the debate were Daniel Bandoni, Food and Nutrition Security coordinator of the General Coordination of the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) at FNDE (National Fund for Educational Development), Matheus Zanella, from the Global Alliance for the Future of Food, and Maria Paula Albuquerque, from the Comusan/SP Observatory and CREN. The mediation was conducted by Ana Claudia Andreotti, Projects and Programs coordinator at Infinis, and the event was opened by pediatrician and philanthropist Dr. José Luiz Setúbal, president of the José Luiz Setúbal Foundation.
