On July 7, Infinis took part in the launch of the document “Absolute Priority – Childhoods and Adolescences”, prepared by Agenda 227, a nonpartisan movement that brings together more than 500 civil society organizations in defense of the rights of children and adolescents in Brazil.
Launched during a public hearing at the Chamber of Deputies’ Committee on Human Rights, Minorities and Racial Equality, the document presents 28 public policy proposals, organized into 13 thematic areas, which will be delivered to candidates for the Federal Government in the 2026 elections.
Infinis is part of Agenda 227’s collegiate coordination and the coordination and articulation group, and also coordinates the Health and Nutrition Hub, contributing recommendations aimed at strengthening public policies for child and adolescent development.
Among the proposals in the area are restoring 95% vaccination coverage for all vaccines in the childhood immunization schedule, with special attention to Indigenous children; institutionalizing Food Insecurity Risk Screening (TRIA) through legislation; and creating a national policy for comprehensive health care for adolescents, with continuous funding.

In addition to contributing to the drafting of the document, Infinis representatives attended the launch at the Chamber of Deputies. For Sofia Guimarães, the Institute’s advocacy advisor, the document represents an important policy advocacy tool to ensure that the absolute priority set out in the Constitution is effectively incorporated into public policies.

The launch marked the presentation of the document with proposals for the Federal Government. As part of Agenda 227’s advocacy strategy, documents focused on state elections are also available, with recommendations to strengthen public policies focused on children and adolescents across the country.
