During the week of May 18, National Day to Combat Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children and Adolescents, the Brazilian Coalition for the End of Violence Against Children and Adolescents, a network of which Infinis is a part, was in Brasília (DF) participating in different spaces for political advocacy, mobilization, and coordination to strengthen the prevention and confrontation of sexual violence against children and adolescents.

🔹 Participation in the III Brazilian Congress on Combating Sexual Violence Against Children and Adolescents, coordinating discussion spaces and presenting papers.
🔹 Participation in a public hearing at the Federal Senate on the National Plan to Combat Violence Against Children and Adolescents. On that occasion, the Coalition was represented by Márcia Kalvon, executive director of Infinis – Institute for a Healthy Childhood Future. Learn more.
🔹 Signing of a Technical Cooperation Agreement with the Superior Labor Court (TST), strengthening actions to prevent and combat child labor and sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. Learn more.
Sexual violence against children and adolescents is not inevitable: it can and must be prevented. Advancing this agenda requires strengthening public policies, expanding the use of evidence in decision-making, and promoting coordinated action among different sectors.
